Registration has been extended for the 2023 National Alumni Association Summer Conference!
Hosted by the UAPB/AM&N National Alumni Association, this year’s conference will take place August 3-5, 2023 in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. The theme is “UAPB EVERYDAY: One Alumni, One University.”
The new deadline to register is Monday, July 17, 2023.
On Thursday, August 3rd, a reception at the Hampton Inn & Suites at 511 Mallard Loop in Pine Bluff will kick off the three-day event.
Informative workshops presented by an exciting array of speakers will take place on Friday, August 4th at the STEM Conference Center located on the campus of the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff (UAPB). Participants will receive vital updates about the National Alumni Association and UAPB.
On Saturday, August 5th, the conference will be accentuated by a tour of the UAPB Athletic Department. Later that evening, a semi-formal Gala will take place at the Pine Bluff Convention Center, located at Number One Convention Center Drive in Pine Bluff.
The guest speaker for the Gala will be Dr. Kristopher Stepps, a 2007 graduate of UAPB. Dr. Stepps is the medical director of DePaul Community Health Center, under the office of Ascension Health Services.
Tanesha Thompson, president of the National Alumni Association and chair of the Board of Directors, expressed her gratitude for the opportunity to host an in person conference.
“With the worst of the global pandemic behind us, it is with a grateful heart that we forge ahead,” Thompson wrote in her welcome letter. “We will gather in person for the first time since 2019. We look forward to being reconnected, revitalized, and reawakened with a new sense of purpose and vision.”
The registration fee is $150 per person. This includes admission to all conference events, a 2023 conference souvenir book, meals (plus the Gala) and special mementos. Single admission to the Gala for non-conference registrants is available for $50 per person.
Ads may also be purchased to be included in a commemorative souvenir journal. The cost of ads ranges in price from $100 for a full page to $10 for the patron’s list.
