Greetings UAPB/AM&N Alumni!

Kymara Seals, President and Chairman of the Board

We are still very excited about our 2nd Virtual Summer Conference which was held August 5 – 6, 2022.   It was a huge success!  A big shout out to the Greater Kansas City Alumni Chapter under the leadership of President Shannon Hendrix for hosting.  Our theme was “Sustaining the P.R.I.D.E. through Service and Self-Care”.  It is our desire to resume in person summer conferences in 2023 as long as it’s safe to do so.

We are also looking forward to Homecoming 2022.  We will resume our alumni luncheon which is always on Friday after the alumni assembly.  We are in the planning phases now and will be prepared to provide more detail in the near future about venue and ticket prices.   We are anticipating a spectacular comeback after two years of postponing due to Covid-19.  Unfortunately, we will not be having our homecoming king and queen competition due to the fact our efforts are focused on our Alumni Center Campaign.

And speaking of the Alumni Center Campaign, if you haven’t yet given, now is the perfect time to do so.  You can give or make your pledge to give at a later time.  Go to the alumni website https://uapbalumni.org to view all details of the campaign and the various levels of giving.  This is a team effort of the alumni and sponsors and we need you to reach this financial goal.

We are thankful to all of our active alumni chapters across the country and for all the volunteer hours you dedicate to support the alumni and Dear Mother.  We are grateful for your board assessments, donations for student scholarships, life membership purchases and annual membership purchases.  It takes all of us doing our part to make an impact for our students.  Let’s continue the great work.

We see you and we appreciate you!
